Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite (80–90% Onsite Presence Required)
Pay: $180,000 – $220,000 Base + Performance Bonus (TBD)


Position Overview

A nationally recognized and innovative cannabis brand is seeking a General Manager to lead its end-to-end manufacturing operations in New York. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for overseeing production, supply chain, automation, distribution, and compliance at one of the company’s most strategic facilities. As New York becomes one of the fastest-growing cannabis markets in the U.S., this role is central to scaling operations and building long-term success. Available Shifts & Responsibilities

Day Shift – General Management (Manufacturing)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, with on-call availability and 80–90% onsite presence
Pay: $180,000 – $220,000 base + performance bonus (TBD)
Key Duties:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the NY cannabis manufacturing facility

  • Drive performance across supply chain, production, automation, distribution, and regulatory compliance

  • Lead and develop 5–6 department managers in core operations

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to optimize throughput and reduce waste

  • Restore team culture and build trust while driving accountability

  • Align site operations with broader corporate goals and expansion strategies

  • Implement scalable SOPs and systems in preparation for future growth and automation

  • Manage P&L responsibilities and consistently achieve operational KPIs

  • Lead through change with agility, resilience, and integrity


Qualifications

  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in CPG, food/beverage, pharma, or other regulated industries

  • Proven leadership skills with experience shifting workplace culture and elevating team performance

  • Demonstrated success in building and mentoring high-performing teams

  • Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma certification with hands-on application experience

  • Strong organizational change management and automation project experience

  • High emotional intelligence and ability to lead under pressure

  • Exceptional communicator—confident and direct, with executive presence

  • Hands-on leadership style with strong follow-through and team visibility

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York

  • Available for regular in-state presence and on-call responsibilities

  • Willingness to travel out-of-state for corporate and expansion meetings


Additional Requirements

  • Predictive Index Assessment required during the interview process

  • Must be 21+ and eligible to work in the cannabis industry in New York


Interview Process

  • Multi-stage interview process (4–5 rounds)

  • Includes interviews with internal recruiters, out-of-state GMs, VP of Operations, and expansion leadership team

  • Evaluations will cover manufacturing expertise, leadership style, cultural fit, and problem-solving
