About the Role

Our client has a state-of-the-art solventless hash lab in Metro Detroit and is seeking an experienced Extraction Lab Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of this facility. 

The ideal candidate is a passionate solventless extraction professional with a deep understanding of hash and live rosin production, a history of managing high-performing teams, and a commitment to innovation, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily operations of the solventless extraction lab with a focus on ice water hash and live rosin production.

• Design and implement efficient and repeatable extraction processes, including washing, freeze drying, rosin pressing, and curing.

• Ensure product consistency, high yields, and quality that meets or exceeds market expectations.

• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) aligned with safety, compliance, and best practices.

• Lead, train, and support lab technicians and production staff; foster a culture of excellence and accountability.

• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment, ensuring clean, safe, and organized workspaces.

• Manage inventory, raw materials, and supply chain needs to meet production goals.

• Collaborate with leadership to track KPIs such as yield percentages, cannabinoid/terpene profiles, and production timelines.

• Ensure compliance with all Michigan cannabis regulations, including accurate METRC tracking and reporting.

• Support product development and R&D initiatives to expand the solventless portfolio.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on solventless extraction experience, including scaling operations.

• Demonstrated success producing premium hash and live rosin at commercial scale.

• Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a cannabis lab.

• Deep technical knowledge of micron bag selection, curing methods, and terpene preservation.

• Understanding of Michigan cannabis regulations and METRC compliance systems.

• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.
